Within the framework of «Americas Children and Youth Day» the IIN presents the Exhibition: «An Album of Rights»

 

The Inter-American Children´s Institute with the support of the Pre-Hispanic and Indian Art Museum (MAPI) presents with pride the Exhibition: « An Album of Rights«, a work made by children and adolescents of the Americas.

 

This is an exhibition in the digital project of the same name published by the IIN in 2016, it is presented through the different formats thanks to the curatorial work of the MAPI Children’s Council, maintaining the original concept of feeling that of the children about their rights and their relationship with the adult world.

 

The participation of the Council represents a historic event in the region. exercise of the rights of organized groups of civil society.

 

The educational community of Uruguay represented by 27 schools, also participated in this project through an intervention was based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in which approximately 600 children participated.

 

This exhibition commemorating the 92nd Anniversary of the IIN and the celebration of June 9 as «Americas Children and Youth Day» is sponsored by the diplomatic corps of: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Paraguay, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

 

The opening will be on Wednesday June 12 from 11 a.m. at the MAPI headquarters, 25 de Mayo Street 279, Montevideo, Uruguay, and will be open to the public until the end of August.
