Training of human resources for the prevention and combat of the sexual exploitation of children in 8 States of the region
The Inter-American Children´s Institute (IIN) through the Inter-American Training Program (PIC), begins the blended course «Sexual Exploitation of Children» in Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay.
It is a course aimed at professionals and operators of governmental and non-governmental organizations related to the programmatic offer of the participating States the main objectives are:
- Provide a common frame of reference for understanding the phenomenon of commercial sexual exploitation of children.
- Promote training activities according to the needs of each Member State, promoting the use and strength of local capacities and networks.
- Facilitate the exchange and strengthen coordination among the reference institutions in each Member State.
- Strengthen the exchange and cooperation links of the IIN with the reference institutions in each Member State.
The modality of the course is blended, consists of a virtual phase, dictated by the IIN, and another face-to-face, dictated by the governing bodies on the subject in each State. The course starts on August 21.
