The IIN and the IACHR against violence

This region is afflicted with deep inequalities that generate proper environments for the emergence of groups dedicated to criminal activities and associated to that the concerning levels of violence and crime. This constitutes a serious problem of human rights and exposes children and adolescents to a set of violations of their rights.

The IIN and the Rapporteurship on the Rights of the Child, share the conviction that violence and insecurity must be confronted through comprehensive, holistic and cross-sectoral public policies that consider the centrality of human rights, prevention aspects, and that effectively guarantee the validity of human rights of children and adolescents.
