International Seminar «Participation of children and adolescents in the eradication of violence against children and adolescents»

 

Towards the fulfillment of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, the Government of Paraguay, the Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC), the ChildFund Alliance, the United Nations and the IINOAS have organized the International Seminar «Participation of children and adolescents in the eradication of violence against children and adolescents».

 

Paraguay is a country with initiative for the INSPIRE Initiative and has successfully implemented a Child Friendly Accountability Methodology, which promotes the protagonist participation of children and adolescents in accountability processes related to SDG 16.2 «End abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence against and torture of children» and other related.

 

The objective of this Seminar is to share innovative initiatives and processes in the eradication of violence against children, with the protagonist participation of children and adolescents.

 

It is expected that the end of the day the organizations and organizers will sign a letter to: Disseminate and replicate the initiatives and processes exposed, exhort the regional authorities to promote the status of pioneer among its members, and even, in an appropriate manner civil society, a process for the creation of a regional network for Latin America and the Caribbean, for the eradication of violence against children with the protagonist participation of children and adolescents.

 

The seminar was held in the city of Asunción, Paraguay on May 30.
