Challenges in New Models of Intervention for Children in XXI Century Society

 

From 17 to 19 October, the International Seminar on Children will be held at the Municipality of Monte Patria, Chile: «Challenges in New Models of Intervention for Children in the Society of the 21st Century.»

 

Diversity and family judicature; violence, discrimination and bullying; training plans for educational agents and community mothers, some of the topics that will be addressed in this Seminar.

 

This activity, directed at civil society and leaders and/or members of governmental and non-governmental organizations, is co-organized by the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN) of the OAS, together with the Municipality of Monte Patria.

 

The Director General of the IIN, Víctor Giorgi will speak with the presentation «To 27 years of the Convention of the Rights of the Child, What brought us again ?, while the Coordinator of the Program of Inter-American Cooperation for the Prevention and Eradication of Exploitation Sexual and Trafficking in Children and Adolescents (IINOEA), Alejandra Di Pierro, will discuss «The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in the region, 20 years after the First World Congress against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (Stockholm). «
