Inter-American Training Program: Launch of courses on children´s rights

The Inter-American Training Program (PIC) is a training initiative of the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN-OAS) aimed at strengthening the capacities of States and organized civil society. Through training processes in different formats and thematic areas, the PIC seeks to contribute to the promotion and protection of the rights of children and adolescents, as well as to the eradication of all forms of rights violations.


The application period for courses corresponding to the first semester of 2026 opened on February 23 and will be open until March 20. The courses are intended for professionals from different fields of knowledge who are interested in working with children and adolescents.

The courses are delivered online, are free of charge, and have an estimated duration of 8 to 10 weeks. The academic program is organized into weekly modules and requires an estimated dedication of 5 to 7 hours per week.

Training is a key tool for generating impact in the strengthening and improvement of legislation, public policies, programs, and projects aimed at children and adolescents.
