The period for applications to the Directorate of the IIN for the period 2023-2027 has closed

On June 30, the period for nominating candidates for the General Directorate of the Inter-American Institute for Children and Adolescents (IIN) of the OAS for 2023-2027 closed.

According to the current IIN’s rules of procedure, the current administration will end on April 2023, with no existing reelection alternative.

The election of the shortlist from where the next Director-General will be elected shall occur during the Regular Meeting of the Directing Council to be celebrated at Asunción, Paraguay, in October 2022.

Within this framework and in line with Article 38.2 referring to the nomination of candidates to form the shortlist for the appointment of Director-General of the Inter-American Children’s Institute (IIN); and in follow-up to resolution CD.10 Deadlines for nominations, which established June 30, 2022, for the presentation of candidatures to form the shortlist, the applications received promptly are (in alphabetical order by State):

The election of the shortlist will be held at the Meeting of the Directing Council and then be submitted to the consideration of the Secretary-General of the OAS for resolution.

With this information, the process of submitting applications is closed.
