IIN presents Intergenerational Follow-up Commission to the 3rd Pan-American Child Forum
Next Tuesday, April 6, the Inter-American Children Institute (IIN-OAS) will present the Intergenerational Commission to Follow-up Commission to the 3rd Pan-American Child Forum*.
The General Directorate of the IIN assumed to ensure compliance with the documents generated by girls, boys and adolescents during the 3rd Forum: Declaration of Cartagena, Commitments and recommendations on child and adolescent participation and the Rapporteurship of the General Assembly of the Forum, for which it ordered the creation of an Intergenerational Commission whose objectives will be:
- Follow up on the recommendations made by children and adolescents in the framework of the III Forum.
- Suggest to the General Directorate of the IIN guidelines, indicators, and activities that contribute to the implementation of the recommendations issued in the 3rd Forum by children and adolescents.
The presentation of the Commission will be carried out through a Webinar in which the following will participate: the President of the IIN-OAS Directing Council, Lolis Salas, the Director General of the IIN-OAS, Víctor Giorgi, the President of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, Luis Pedernera and some of the members of the Commission: Tatiana Carreño, Patricia Horna and Nikole Meza.

- The Pan-American Child Forum is held every 4 years and is part of the Pan American Congress, in accordance with the resolution of the Directing Council (CD/RES. 07 (83-R/08)). This instance promotes the resignification of the current and future reality of childhood in each State and its democratic projects.
