IIN-OEA holds a meeting to discuss the study of the regulatory frameworks of the SIPPINNAS
The Inter-American Children Institute (IIN-OAS) will hold a virtual meeting on Thursday, December 3, to discuss the document: «Building Systems in the Americas: A dialogical study of the regulatory frameworks«, a tool that allows to analyze the “corpus iuris” of the SIPPINNAs at the Universal, Inter-American and national levels.
At this meeting, the IIN-OAS will present the progress of the work it has been carrying out based on the survey of the regulatory frameworks of the 35 countries of the Americas, with the firm purpose of providing a study and current tool, to be carried out by the operators of Systems for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents:
- Identify regulatory advances and gaps.
- Verify the existing models of protection systems in the Americas.
- Identify the institutions that compose it.
- And identify functions and competencies established by these regulatory frameworks
Ms. Faith Marshall Harris, member of the Committee on the Rights of the Child and the international expert on human rights and children’s rights, Alejandro Morlachetti, will participate in this meeting as special guests in order to exchange perspectives on this study.
The document «Building Systems in the Americas: A dialogical study of the regulatory frameworks« will be published during the first quarter of 2021.
