United for a protected Children in the ICTs

On 30 November and 1 December 2015 the IIN participated in the activity «United for a protected Children in the ICTs: Combating Child Sexual Abuse Online», organized by the Representation for Latin America and the Caribbean of the International Center for Children Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC LAC), with the support of the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of UNICEF (UNICEF LACRO) in Quito, Ecuador.

The activity was developed at the Amazon River Hotel and was attended by national and international experts in different research disciplines. The Representation of the Institute was in charge of Lic. Alejandra Di Pierro, Coordinator of Inter-American Cooperation Program for the Prevention and Eradication of Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking of Children and Adolescents, who participated in the panel «Integral Response for Children or adolescents Victims of Child Sexual Abuse through technologies Good Practices», expounding on the importance of including the theme of ICT in national policies and plans for addressing the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children, Child and Adolescents.
