Columbus Memorial Library presents inaugurates the photographic exhibition «An Album of Rights»
In commemoration of the 90th Anniversary of the Inter-American Children’s Institute, and in the framework of the presentation of the IIN Management Report to the Permanent Council of the OAS, the Columbus Library* presents the photographic exhibition «The Album of the Rights».
This sample is the result of the call that was made in 2017 and that attracted the attention of more than 600 children and adolescents of the OAS Member States, and which required the evaluation of a committee composed of distinguished personalities linked to institutions of childhood, arts and human rights.
The digital project «The Album of Rights», in which children and adolescents express their vision on the effective exercise of their rights through photography, is materialized and transferred to the Simon Bolivar Room of the Main Building of the OAS, a space that allows reflection, sharing and visibility of the potential that children and adolescents have to know and exercise their rights through participation.
The exhibition will be open to the public on May 8.
